How do I get a food voucher?

How many days food will I receive?
An emergency food parcel contains up to five days of nutritionally-balanced, non-perishable food, supplemented with a range of additional extras – nappies, sanitary items, pet food if needed and an Aldi Voucher.
What is in a typical food parcel?
Our food parcel page has a typical list of contents for individuals, couples and families.
Can you cater for dietary requirements and food allergies?
We can usually adapt our food parcels to accommodate most dietary needs and food allergies. Please tell the referring agency so they can add your requirements to the food voucher.
Can you provide nappies and baby food?
If you need nappies and baby food, we usually have supplies in stock. We can also signpost you to local services for further support.
Do you supply pet food?
If available, we can add dog and/or cat food to your food parcel.
Are you able to help with fuel payments?
For people on prepayment meters only – also known as a pay-as-you-go meters – we can help with gas and/or electricity payments. Please inform the agency or organisation you are working with that you would like help with fuel support. If you are eligible they will send us a fuel voucher on your behalf.
Do you provide toiletries and cleaning products?
We may be able to add non-food items to your food parcel. These vary and can be requested when your referral is made, but they are subject to availability. However, we do usually stock toilet roll, sanitary items and nappies.
Are you able to deliver food if I can’t visit the Food Bank in person?
Yes, one of our volunteer drivers will be able to deliver your food parcel.
How does my organisation make a referral to the Food Bank?
We work with a range of local agencies who regularly help people in crisis. They can make referrals by issuing a Food Bank voucher. If your organisation would like to refer vulnerable local residents to the Food Bank, please contact us to discuss becoming a voucher holder/authorised referring agency.
